Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”

It's been 4 years since the Newborn Brain Conference met at Clearwater Beach, Florida and 3 years since the last ONE Conference for NeuroNICU Nurses.
This February, we were able to join together again and connect, share, and learn.
The week started with a special lecture at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital at their Cooling Course.
We talked about the power of being the ONE and celebrated the 10th anniversary of their cooling program.
Gina, Katie, Me, Jayne and Elizabeth.
Then after this training wrapped up, I went to the Neonatal Brain Conference in Clearwater Beach where I was able to meet up with even more of the Synapse Care Community and beyond!
The Sheraton Sand Key Resort, and the sunsets, didn't disappoint.
Valerie Chock, Kim Brown, Krisa Van Meurs and me at the Conference.
I even ran in to my mentor and first NICU Educator, Dr. Danilyn Angeles who taught me that everything impacts the baby brain and that nurses are the ones who can protect it with everyday actions.
After many years of online collaboration, it was a thrill to meet up with Betsy Pilon from Hope for HIE.
Kim Brown, NNP from St. Louis, MO is leading her NeuroNICU program.
Dr. Lina Chalak has been a long time friend and mentor - and is one of the most enthusiastic advocates for caring for babies with mild HIE

Dinner with the PBSF, NeoBrain Brazil and Stanford Crew
Late night chats with Bobbi Pineda (one of the creators of the SENSE program) at the Sheraton fire pit.
It was beyond words to be able to connect again in person with old friends, make new ones, and be inspired by the work of others from around the world.
